I grew up in Derbyshire and attended Matlock Grammar School. After leaving school I worked for the Derbyshire County Council and at 21 became a flight attendant for British Midland Airways. A year later I moved to London and joined BOAC (now British Airways).

I came to Los Angeles in 1973 with my husband and two small daughters. He had a three year contract to open up a branch of his company in the United States. I am still here 44 years later together with my two daughters and 5 grandchildren.

I joined the DBE almost 10 years ago and am on my second term as 2nd VP on the State Board.

I love taking walks along the beach in Capitola where I now reside. My other hobbies are tennis, gardening and watching  British TV series.
